MAHWAH, NJ – Bogen Communications, Inc. will be introducing several new products at InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, NV, including a full line of sound contractor-grade Class-D based paging and intercom amplifiers; a pair of new Apogee high-performance pro-audio amplifiers, one of which includes an integrated DSP module; and a state-of-the-art, self-contained, 6-zone music and paging system.
Highly Efficient Class-D Amplifiers
Bogen introduces six models in its revamped Gold Seal Series of amplifiers - now featuring Class-D amplification, ranging from 35 watts of output up to 500 watts, making them ideal for sound contractors who want to design in the precise power level needed. The Class-D amplification system enables highly efficient operation, with reduced power consumption and heat dissipation compared with previous models. Features include 7 inputs (4 MIC, 1 MIC/TEL, 1 MIC/AUX, and AUX); dual function 10-band graphic equalizer; loudness contour control; phantom power for each MIC input; variable music muting; remote master volume control; automatic level control; low-cut filter for MIC channels; and AUX fade back after TEL page.
The Gold Seal Series works with 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 25V, 25VCT, and 70V systems. The amps provide several safety features, as well as thermal and overload protection. Available accessories, sold separately, include a tamper-resistant front cover, rack mounting kit and a remote volume control.
Apogee Professional Amplifiers
Bogen is proud to introduce two new models in its Apogee-branded line of professional audio amplifiers. Apogee's CA8000D and CA8000DX amplifiers offer cost-effective performance for permanent installations and commercial sound. Suitable for high-end installations, the CA8000DX offers a state-of-the-art built-in Digital Signal Processor (DSP) module (model DLX24i) for extensive and comprehensive signal processing, including factory loudspeaker presets, turning the amplifier into a complete audio solution. The DSP module is PC remote controlled using intuitive System Control Manager software – the same software used on the standalone, rack-mountable Apogee DLX24 digital loudspeaker controller.
These CA-series amplifiers use the latest in amplifier technology. They provide unparalleled sonic quality, exceptional reliability and reduced heat output, all at a great value. Both the CA8000D and CA8000DX are 2-ohm stable and can drive 70V lines directly. Both models are only two rack units in height, and feature front panel level controls with tamper-resistant covers to avoid any unwanted altering or inadvertent adjustment. Fully featured, the CA-series amplifiers offer balanced inputs and 4-pole speaker twist connector outputs.
6-Zone Music and Paging System
The Bogen DRZ120 is a unique, self-contained 6-zone music and paging system for small- to medium-sized applications. It combines a digital AM/FM tuner with MIC, LINE, and AUX inputs. It has a 120-watt amplifier capable of driving 4-16-ohm speaker systems, as well as 70-volt distributed systems.
The DRZ120 permits connection of up to six individually volume-controlled paging zones. The DRZ120 also features Bass and Treble controls with a 5-segment LED output meter. The built-in tuner uses a PLL synthesizer to provide accurate frequency selection. The MIC1 input can be set for VOX-activated muting of the other audio inputs. The unit’s microphone input accepts a balanced Lo-Z microphone with selectable Phantom Power. Various input connections are available: XLR, TRS, RCA, USB drive, secure digital card, and EuroBlock screw terminals.

Compact Line Array Loudspeaker System
Bogen’s ALA-1 is an easy-to-use system that takes the difficulty out of designing and installing with line arrays. The system consists of four parts: 1) The ALA-1 is the main array, which incorporates four metal-alloy woofer cone drivers featuring the pioneering voice-coil guidance system by NEAR, a unique Ferrofluid in the magnet gap. 2) The ALA-1LT Long-Throw module increases the array length by 50%, focusing this extra energy to augment and extend the performance of the ALA-1 for longer distances. 3) The ALA-1DF Down-fill Module increases vertical coverage below the main array, greatly improving articulation in front-row near-field listening areas, often eliminating the need for stage-based front fill speakers. 4) The ALA-1S has a 12” woofer which provides high output and extended bass for music and video productions. In addition, a unique mounting bracket is included that allows the full ALA array to be suspended and tilted.
Compact 40-Watt Amplifier
The CC4062MBT is part of Bogen’s CC-Series of 40-watt compact amplifiers with varying inputs and features. It provides 7 inputs (3 MIC/Line, 1 AUX, 1 TEL, a built-in Media Player with EQ, as well as Bluetooth source-pairing capability) and an MOH output. In addition, it offers individual phantom power for MIC inputs, volume controls for each input, priority muting levels, bass and treble controls, and a REC output.
These amplifiers are half the width of conventional amplifiers, allowing two amplifiers to be rack-mounted side-by-side - increasing inputs, features, and power for the application; and offering the option to install one now and expand to a second unit anytime in the future without needing additional rack space. They are ideal for installations with limited setup space, such as custom equipment racks, lecterns, compact bookshelf audio systems, etc.
Each amplifier measures 8 1/4” wide by 3 1/2” high by 10 3/8” deep and weighs 11 pounds. They work with 70V, 25V and 4-16-ohm speaker systems.
Full Line of High-Value Microphones
At InfoComm 2016, Bogen is excited to display a sampling of its extensive line of microphones: the HDU250 Professional Handheld Stage Microphone, the HDO100 Handheld Public Address Microphone, the DDU250 Dynamic Desktop Microphone, the SCU250 Boundary Mic, and the WCU250 Overhead/Choir Mic.
High-Performance Foreground Loudspeakers
The S4T and S5T compact, versatile speakers feature unique driver technologies to produce the highest sound quality in the most durable and reliable loudspeakers available. Precise sound reproduction is achieved with mid/bass drivers employing MDT and MLS technologies for superior sound and long-term durability. The high-frequency driver is a 1” titanium diaphragm which perfectly complements the metal-alloy LF driver.
Outdoor, In-Ground, All-Weather Speaker
The Bogen G8G Speakers are fully-sealed outdoor speakers which provide exceptionally natural sound and will withstand all types of weather conditions. These speakers combine two unique technologies: Metal Diaphragm Technology (MDT), which ensures speaker cone stability in all environmental conditions; and Magnetic Liquid Suspension (MLS), a Ferrofluid seal around the magnet gap and voice coil, providing protection from moisture and corrosion, as well as perfect voice coil alignment.
All-Weather Speaker
The Bogen A6T is a completely weatherproof, fully-sealed cabinet speaker for indoor and outdoor applications. It features a 6” woofer and 1 1/8” tweeter, 2-way capability and maximum power handling capacity of 32W at 70V. All models are also available in low-impedance versions.
