May 31, 2017, Mahwah, NJ – Bogen Communications, Inc., announces the immediate availability of two new Voice over IP (VoIP) loudspeakers for the company’s Quantum Multicom IP communication system. Quantum Multicom IP systems are used by schools of all levels, businesses, and industry and correctional institutions for paging, intercom, and other communication functions.
The WBS810QIP wall baffle talkback speaker and the S810QIP round ceiling talkback speaker have been designed for rapid and efficient deployment that uses existing network 802.3af-compliant PoE ports to enable easy placement throughout a facility. Both speakers feature an 8-inch full-range driver and a MEMS microphone for superior intelligibility and effective two-way communication. Each speaker contains a 4-watt PoE amplifier, whose output level can be set remotely using Quantum’s software application. Combined with the high efficiency of their drivers, both models can achieve 102dB of clean, clear sound.
With the optional analog call-switch, the speakers can be configured as one of two Quantum station types: talkback speaker only or talkback speaker with call-switch.
The WBS810QIP wall baffle talkback speaker features an attractive and cleverly designed enclosure that allows forward-facing electrical box mount, corner mount, tilt-down mount, or 2x2 side-by-side wall mount without the need for additional mounting hardware.
Quantum Multicom IP systems must be upgraded to software version 1.3.1 to support the use of these new VoIP speakers. Both models are in stock for immediate shipping to authorized Bogen ES dealers.
