(InfoComm16 booth # N2727) Cambridge, MA & Las Vegas, NV – June 3, 2016 – Scalable Display, the industry-leading software provider for multi-projector display systems and collaboration solutions, announced the grand opening of the new “Scalable Studio,” a state-of-the-art center of innovation for projection-based technology, located in Pembroke, Massachusetts.

The Scalable Studio is based on the Cambridge, MA-based company’s Scalable University, a training program that has brought hands-on knowledge to systems integrators, technology professionals, and end-users in cities around the globe.

While Scalable continues to offer location-based training programs, Scalable University also settles into a permanent home at Scalable Studio. Industry experts provide training and demonstrations for integrators and end-users that want to learn more about how Scalable solutions can encourage and enable creativity and collaboration.

The Scalable Studio is fully staffed and equipped with real-world applications of Scalable’s cutting edge products, including the following:

  • 12-foot Huddlewall with interactive digital pen technology from Anoto
  • 12-foot by 12-foot “head-set free” Virtual Reality (VR) environment, featuring a dynamic eyepoint position tracking system
  • 14-foot cylinder display with two HD projectors and a best-in-breed video wall controller
  • 2.3MP military simulation dome with four projectors,
  • a 6HD rear-projection cylinder display,
  • Multiple styles of VR (virtual reality) headsets,
  • Multiple training stations with reconfigurable display components.

Experience Scalable Display Solutions in a Real-World Environment

Founded in 2004, Scalable Display recently expanded its focus beyond its core business of military applications and into a number of commercial applications, from corporate boardrooms to educational facilities to training centers and anywhere else that convenient collaboration and creativity tools help drive success.

As the commercial market for projection-based display continues to expand, picking up where headset Virtual Reality (VR) display technology capabilities end, the Scalable Studio enables clients, partners, and Scalable employees, alike, to create ground-breaking collaborations.

“Our edge-blending and warping technology, in addition to our headset-free VR environment and our new Huddlewall wall-sized collaboration system, are best seen in person to understand their full capabilities,” says Scalable President and CEO Andrew W. Jamison. “The new Scalable Studio permits local businesses and visitors to the Boston area to experience our cutting-edge technology for themselves, engage in live collaborations, and learn how to get the most out of our display solutions.”
